An evacuating pump set, in particular for milking equipment, has a modular unit comprising an evacuating pump (2) and a drive motor (3), which can be inserted in a service water tank (4) to utilise the waste heat. The modular unit (1) is mounted on a cover plate (5) associated with a connecting flange (6) of the tank (4), and pipelines (7, 8) passing through the cover plate (5) to the pump (2) inside form the pump intake and discharge lines. In order to be able to improve the utilisation of waste heat substantially in a simple manner, two coaxial pipelines (7, 8) are provided, of which the outer pipeline (7) acts as the discharge line and the inner pipeline (8) as the intake line for the pump (2). <IMAGE>
