PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a fine oil-in-water type liquid composition to which an oil content is stably compounded, and to prepare a cosmetic which has usability with freshness and good spreadability when the composition is applied to the cosmetic and has excellent effects on a skin.SOLUTION: This invention relates to the oil-in-water type liquid composition having an average emulsified drop diameter of 200 nm or less, wherein a polyoxyalkylene sterol ether with an HLB of 14 to 20 (a), a higher alcohol (b), an oil solution (c) and water (d) are compounded.
