PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a variation in resonance frequency in an optical scanning unit.SOLUTION: An optical scanning unit includes an optical fiber 19 and vibration driving means 23. The optical fiber 19 is supported at a stationary part 19a. The optical fiber 19 can be oscillated at an oscillation part 19b that is from the stationary part 19a to a tip part 19c. The vibration driving means 23 is arranged to have, on the outside, a belly an of the vibration of oscillation part 19b in a high-order vibration mode.
