The present invention relates to a prediction method of meat quality and/or meat quantity using compositional analysis of muscle cells of live pigs, which is classified as type I muscle fiber, type IIb muscle fiber and type IIa muscle fiber, predicts the meat quality or the meat quantity by measuring the area ratio, the number ratio or the average size of the muscle fibers, and can select pigs of good quality as breeding pigs since live pigs are examined.본 발명은 살아있는 돼지의 근세포의 조성 분석을 이용한 육질 및/또는 육량의 예측방법에 관한 것으로, 타입I 근섬유, 타입Ⅱb 근섬유 및 타입Ⅱa 근섬유로 분류하고 근섬유의 면적비율, 개수비율 또는 평균크기를 측정하여 육질 또는 육량을 예측할 수 있고, 살아있는 돼지를 검사하기 때문에 육질이 우수한 돼지를 종돈으로 선발 가능하다.
