The invention relates to a system for protecting crops from the weather which comprises a set of guiding cables (16) supported by a series of posts (1A, 1B, 2), a module (28) between each pair of intermediate posts (2), said module being formed by:• a stationary protection box (13), through which the guiding cables (16) pass, which supports a first end of a covering material (29)；• a pulled cover (9), attached to the guiding cables (16), which supports the second end of the covering material (29), a tipping blade (18) at the sides and part of the ridge, as well as toothed blades (20) arranged to trail along the ground and engage with the trunks of the plants to be covered as the pulled cover (9) advances.
