PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color material and a color material dispersion liquid which can form a high-luminance coating having excellent heat resistance with adjustment to a desired color tone; a coloring resin composition for a color filter which can form a high-luminance colored layer containing the dispersion liquid; and a color filter formed from the composition.SOLUTION: A color material comprising a double salt is synthesized from: a dimerized triarylmethane dye that can be prepared from N,N'-dinaphthyl norbornane diamine and 4,4'-bis(diethylamino)benzophenone; rhodamine B; and phosphotungstic acid n-hydrate.
