PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a both surface friction stir welding method and a both surface friction stir welding device capable of continuously performing temporary welding of minimum requirement and main welding according to friction stir welding.SOLUTION: A friction stir welding tool capable of providing a desired stirring depth upon friction stir welding as first and second friction stir welding tools is selected, is constrained by a constraint device and continuously performs temporary welding of mating surfaces of aluminum members 10, 20. Subsequently, a friction stir welding tool performs main welding over the whole surface of the mating surfaces of the aluminum members 10, 20 and continuously performs the main welding.
