The present invention relates to a lifting and lowering system for hospital bed rails. The system is composed of a hospital bed frame, four railing lifting and lowering mechanisms, two of which fixes to the left side edge of the frame, and the other two, at its right side edge, four safety rails for a patient occupying a hospital bed, said safety rails being fixed to each railing mechanism. Further, four actuators respectively allowing the automatic movement of each lifting mechanisms and wherein said actuators fixed to the frame by four actuator clamping elements. Finally, it is worth mentioning that the actuator that supports the ascent of each rail must retract completely following the completion of the lifting task.La presente invención se refiere a un sistema de elevación y descenso para barandas de cama hospitalaria, que se comprende de: un bastidor de cama hospitalaria cuatro mecanismos de elevación y descenso de baranda, de los cuales, dos se fijan en el borde lateral izquierdo del bastidor, y los otros dos, en su borde lateral derecho cuatro barandas de seguridad para un paciente que ocupa la cama hospitalaria, en donde, cada una de dichas barandas se fija a cada uno de los cuatro mecanismos de elevación y descenso de barandas y cuatro actuadores que permiten respectivamente, el movimiento automático de ascenso de cada una de los cuatro mecanismos de elevación y. descenso de baranda, estando cada uno de dichos actuadores fijo al bastidor por medio de sendos cuatro elementos de sujeción de actuador. Es importante mencionar que el actuador que apoya al ascenso de cada baranda debe retraerse completamente enseguida de terminar la tarea de ascenso.
