The needle is configured to acquire tissue samples and pass these tissue samples through the tissue sample holder assembly. The tray includes a plurality of strips. The tray is configured to be received within the tissue sample holder assembly of the biopsy device. The container includes a plurality of tray receivers. Each tray receiver includes a distal end, a proximal end, and a tray chamber, the tray chamber extending between the proximal end and the distal end.
