PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To explore an ophthalmic solution having a sufficient storage effect while reducing concentration of benzalkonium chloride, and having the same physico-chemical properties as a conventional ophthalmic solution containing sodium hyaluronate.SOLUTION: A water-based ophthalmic solution comprises hyaluronic acid or a salt thereof at concentration of 0.03-0.5 %(w/v) and propylene glycol at concentration of 0.1-1.0 %(w/v), wherein benzalkonium chloride is contained at concentration of 0.001-0.002 %(w/v) as a sole preservative agent and an ionic tonicity agent is also contained at such concentration that the osmotic pressure ratio of the ophthalmic solution becomes 0.9-1.1.COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT【課題】ベンザルコニウム塩化物濃度を減少させつつも十分な保存効力を有し、且つ従来のヒアルロン酸ナトリウム含有点眼液と同じ物理化学的性質を有する点眼液を探索する。
