This invention discloses a device for automatically watering plants.The device includes the water storage section, soil storage section andwater absorbent materials. Drainage holes are set on the sidewall of andabove the water level of the water storage section. The soil storagesection is placed on the water storage section. There are air vents at thebottom of the soil section, and the absorbent materials are passed throughthe bottom of the soil section. The absorbent materials are ribbon--like orfilamentous polyvinyl alcohol sponges, which are embedded into the soilsection with one end, and contact with water in the water storage sectionwith the other end.
