To provide an electric fan effectively controlling noxious insects such as mosquitoes especially.SOLUTION: In an electric fan body 1, a cartridge 53 for diffusing an insect-controlling chemical by putting the chemical into its inside and rotating it, can be installed. The electric fan body is configured by providing an attachment 54 for fitting the cartridge 53, to a rotary shaft 52 as a shaft of rotation of a fan 22 for blowing wind. With the rotation of the rotary shaft 52, in addition to the fan 22, the attachment 54 and the cartridge 53 rotate and due to the rotation of the cartridge 53, centrifugal force is generated in the cartridge 53 itself, and the chemical inside the cartridge 53 is radially diffused in a range of 360°. Then, since the radially diffused chemical is merged with wind from the fan 22, and is diffused in front of a blowing part 13 together with the wind, the chemical can be merged with the entire wind from the fan 22, the effect of the chemical can be obtained in a wide range, and noxious insects such as mosquitoes especially can be effectively controlled.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6【課題】特に蚊などの害虫を効果的に防除する扇風機を提供する。【解決手段】扇風機本体１は、内部に害虫防除用の薬剤を入れて回転することにより薬剤を拡散させるカートリッジ５３を設置可能であり、風を送り出すファン２２の回転の軸である回転軸５２に、カートリッジ５３を取付けるアタッチメント５４を設けて構成される。回転軸５２が回転することに伴い、ファン２２に加えて、アタッチメント５４およびカートリッジ５３が回転し、カードリッジ５３の回転により、カートリッジ５３自身に遠心力が発生して、カートリッジ５３内部の薬剤を放射状に360°拡散する。そして放射状に拡散された薬剤がファン２２からの風と合流して、この風と共に送風部１３の前方に拡散するため、薬剤がファン２２からの風の全体と合流でき、広範囲においてこの薬剤の効果を得ることができ、特に蚊などの害虫を効果的に防除することができる。【選択図】図６
