The system has an intervertebral cage (10) and an introduction guide (40) that is arranged to introduce the intervertebral cage between two vertebrae. The cage includes an oblong body (11) that is delimited between two opposite faces. The oblong body comprises two parts (11-1, 11-2) that is separated by a space (13). The two opposite faces of the oblong body are covered with rounded dome shaped protuberances. The protuberances are treated with a product i.e. hydroxyapathite, for fixing of two vertebrae on the bone of the vertebral body.
