The invention relates to improvements in respect of performing cataract surgery, and the result thereof, by means of a laser system. More particularly, it relates to a device for cataract surgery, comprising a surgical microscope or stereo microscope and a laser source, in which a module, consisting of a laser-coupling/deflecting unit, a laser-scan unit, and a focusing unit, can be attached to the surgical microscope or stereo microscope, in which at least one of these units can selectively be introduced between surgical microscope and eye, and in which the focusing unit can scan a depth-of-focus range of greater than 1 mm.Linvention concerne des perfectionnements apportés à la réalisation dune chirurgie de la cataracte, et au résultat de celle-ci, au moyen dun système de laser. Plus particulièrement, linvention porte sur un dispositif pour chirurgie de la cataracte comprenant un microscope chirurgical ou un stéréomicroscope et une source laser, dans lequel un module consistant en une unité de couplage par laser/déviation de laser, une unité de balayage de laser et une unité de focalisation peut être fixé au microscope chirurgical ou au stéréomicroscope, au moins lune de ces unités pouvant être introduite de manière sélective entre un microscope chirurgical et un œil, et lunité de focalisation pouvant balayer une plage de profondeur focale de plus d1 mm.
