Gegenstand der vorliegenden Erfindung ist eine Zusammensetzung für die perorale Applikation mit gesteuerter Freisetzung von Wirkstoffen, welche eine Vielzahl bzw. Kombination von Wirkstoffen, insbesondere ausgewählt aus der Gruppe von Vitaminen, Mineralstoffen und Spurenelementen sowie deren Mischungen, enthält, wobei die Wirkstoffe zumindest teilweise in einer quellfähigen Matrix inkorporiert oder eingelagert sind, so daß die Wirkstoffe nach peroraler Applikation kontrolliert und/oder zeitversetzt freigesetzt werden.
