A method for calculating an optical absorption coefficient in a frequency region by using a photoacoustic measurement device according to the present invention comprises the steps of: radiating incidence beams emitted through a light source to an optical diffusion medium to be absorbed into an optical absorption body disposed in the optical diffusion medium measuring an ultrasonic wave signal value generated in the optical absorption body through a photoacoustic measurement device disposed on the optical diffusion medium and focused in the optical diffusion medium receiving, through a treating device connected to the light source and the photoacoustic measurement device, the measured ultrasonic wave signal value and measuring a resonance frequency which is a frequency when the intensity of the ultrasonic wave signal value in a frequency region is maximum and calculating, through the treating device, an optical absorption coefficient of the optical absorption body on the basis of the measured resonance frequency.
