The present invention relates to a composition comprising a fluoride varnish and an antimicrobial material as active ingredients, which not only can prevent dental caries but also can prevent or treat periodontal disease by adding an antimicrobial material for Porphyromonas gingivalis to a fluoride varnish. Specifically, Chrysophanol, Emodin, Anthrarufin, Bavachalcone or Isobavachromene, and a fluoride varnish composition comprising the same of the present invention can be useful in prevention or treatment of periodontal disease by exhibiting antibacterial activities with respect to Porphyromonas gingivalis. Particularly, the fluoride varnish has an inhibition effect by itself with respect to Streptococcus mutans (S.mutans), which is bacteria causing dental caries. Further, Bavachalcone or Isobavachromene in the compounds has a significant antibacterial activity even with respect to S.mutans. Therefore, a fluoride varnish composition comprising Bavachalcone or Isobavachromene may be used in prevention or treatment of dental caries and periodontal disease at the same time.본 발명은 불소 바니쉬(fluoride varnish)에 포르피로모나스 진지발리스(Porphyromonas gingivalis)에 대한 항균물질을 첨가하여 치아우식증의 예방뿐만 아니라, 치주질환을 예방 또는 치료할 수 있는 불소 바니쉬 및 항균물질을 포함하는 조성물에 관한 것으로, 구체적으로 본 발명의 크리소파놀(Chrysophanol), 에모딘(Emodin), 안트라루핀(Anthrarufin), 바바칼콘(Bavachalcone) 또는 이소바바크로민(Isobavachromene)과 이를 포함하는 불소 바니쉬 조성물은 포르피로모나스 진지발리스에 대해 항균활성을 나타내므로, 치주질환 예방 및 치료에 유용하게 사용될 수 있으며, 특히 불소 바니쉬는 자체적으로 치아우식 유발균인 스트렙토코쿠스 뮤탄스(Streptococcus mutans； S.mutans)에 대한 억제 효과가 있고, 또한 상기 화합물 중 바바칼콘 또는 이소바바크로민은 S.mutans에 대해서도 유의적인 항균 활성을 가지므로, 이를 포함하는 불소 바니쉬 조성물은 치아우식 및 치주질환을 동시에 예방 또는 치료하는데 사용될 수 있다.
