PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article appropriately fitted to dimensions of legs in a wide range.SOLUTION: The absorbent article includes a gather elastic stretch member 63 where a gather root portion 68 and a gather distal end portion 69 in a three-dimensional gather 60 are fixed in the extended state in the longitudinal direction. The gather root portion 68 is an unfixed free portion. The gather distal end portion 69, wrapping around a side of the absorbent article, is extended to the rear side of an absorber 56, and the distal end located on the rear side of the absorber 56 is a removable part 69t which is removably joined to the absorbent article by a joining means 80. The part other than the removable part 69t is an unfixed free portion, or is removably joined to an adjacent portion. The absorbent article with the above characteristics is provided.
