Disclosed is a reusable undergarment (400) for a person suffering from incontinence. The disclosure notes that existing undergarments are bulky, utilitarian and not aesthetically pleasing resulting in embarrassment for the user. The present undergarment (400) is comfortable and aesthetically pleasing. The reusable undergarment (400) is capable of absorbing and retaining discharges, such as urine, in a pouch (402). The undergarment has an outer surface, inner surface, waist aperture and two leg apertures. The undergarment is constructed from a plurality of woven or knitted textile panels each of which are cut to selected shapes and sewn or stitched together. The panels include two trunk/leg panels (301). The trunk/leg panels (301) each comprise a woven or knitted stretchable textile which is permeable to gas including water vapour. The pouch (402) comprises at least two layers of selected woven or knitted textile panels each having a shaped outline. The pouch (402) includes an innermost wettable, permeable and stretchable panel adjacent the user&rsquos body. The pouch (402) also includes at least one intermediate component comprising a wettable, liquid absorbent textile layer in an amount capable of providing an effective discharge holding capacity. The pouch (402) further includes an outer surface of at least one non-wettable, gas permeable and stretchable outer waterproofed panel. The pouch (402) is placed in a median position covering the orifices of the person&rsquos body.
