摘 要:
The presented articles concern a broad aspect of palae-oenvironmental and palaeoclimatic research in the Quaternary from the Lower Pleistocene to the Pleistocene/Holocene turn. A wide range of modern research methods were used in the research, thanks to which we managed to obtain interesting results that expand our knowledge about the Quaternary of Eurasia, in particular climate change and environmental changes in a broad aspect. Field work, field excursions, SEQS-conferences and personal meetings had been again very helpful to discuss and understand these issues and make progresses in Earth science. Modelling of complex systems is obviously an important tool for analysis but it is not able to generate the content of archives and relations of life in Earth history in the computer. They have to be studied in real life conditions and environments in the frame of field work and need careful discussion and examination in meetings to serve as a prerequisite for an adequate modern behavior of mankind in the ecosystem of the planet.
