Key View: Canada and the US are in the midst of a number of regulatory and trade reforms relating to the agricultural sector, and the completion of NAFTA is likely to address these concerns. Overall, the outlook for the Canadian agribusiness market remains stable. Canadian poultry and livestock production outlook is positive as Canadian meat consumption and exports remain elevated and the sector could see a considerable boost depending on the scope ofthe African Swine Fever crisis in China. The dairy sector will post stable growth prospects, as the increase in US dairy access will be modest for now, while the sugar industry remains under pressure from low prices and competes with global production from Brazil and Asia.
