- On September 3, 2021, India’s Ministry of Commerce and Industry/Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), issued Notification No. 23/2015-2020 pertaining to the “Inclusion of Ports of Import in Continuation to Notification No. 20/2015-20 (August 24, 2021).” This notification authorizes the inclusion of three additional seaports, capable of receiving bulk shipments of soybean meal, in addition to the existing two ports of Nhava Sheva (India’s largest container port) and LCS Petrapole (a land port on the India-Bangladesh border). The three additional seaports, include: Mumbai Seaport (INBOM1), Tuticorin Seaport (INTUT1), and Vishakhapatnam Seaport (INVTZ1).
