Key View Key View: We retain a generally bright outlook for the Peruvian agricultural market, with steady gains projected over the medium term to 2023. Peru benefits from a strong agricultural base with good arable land, rising levels of agricultural productivity and a strong workforce. On the consumption side, growing incomes, a healthy national diet and premiumisation of diets will all support uptick. On the trade front export crops, such as coffee and cocoa, are hampered by infrastructure constraints and a lack of investment However, the government remains committed towards bolstering cash crops and increasing agricultural efficiency levels.
