- Key View Key View: The Ukrainian agricultural sector retains a positive outlook over the short-to-medium term, driven by a series of factors, including improving economic conditions, greater investment levels and export-oriented growth opportunities. All agricultural subsectors were negatively affected by poor macroeconomic fundamentals in Ukraine over the 2014-2016 period. However, as the weather remains favourable and the economic and political situation continues to improve, we remain optimistic about the country's agricultural outlook. Nevertheless, challenges to the country's agricultural sector remain, including weak infrastructure, trading restrictions and ongoing problems with neighbouring Russia.
