- Key View Key View: The Ukrainian agricultural sector retains a positive outlook over the short and medium terms, driven by a series of factors, including improving economic conditions, greater investment levels and export-oriented growth opportunities. All agricultural sub-sectors have been negatively affected by poor macroeconomic fundamentals in Ukraine. However, as the recent dry weather season disappears and the economic and political situation improves, we are once again optimistic about the country's agricultural outlook. Nevertheless, challenges to the country's agricultural sector remain including weak infrastructure, trading restrictions and ongoing problems with neighbouring Russia.
