- BMI Industry View BMI View: Vietnam's agribusiness growth model will change over the coming yeas as farmers begin to face land and labour constraints and as end markets become more demanding. Rice production will decline, coffee and rubber growth will decelerate, and the shift to com (feed) production will be slow. However, the medium-term prospects for the agro-processing and the livestock sector are good as domestic consumers diversify their diets and as the sector takes advantage of recently concluded FTAs, The country's potential will only be fulfilled if it steps up its competitiveness and improves product quality and supply chain efficiency.
