- 摘要:
- Key View Key View: We continue to hold moderately positive view on the Greek agribusiness sector, with our forecasts for both production and consumption across the four markets we track - grains, dairy, livestock and sugar - remaining unchanged in this update. We point to a return to stability in the Greek economy as a significant factor informing this view, which also sees our output forecasts outperforming our consumption forecasts over the next five years. The only market where we see the average annual growth of production contracting though to 2023 is for beef. In the livestock market the biggest change this quarter is the growing downside risk to output in the pork market owing to the potentially severe supply disruption caused by outbreaks of African swine fever. These concerns over the meat trade's prospects have led Greece to reportedly place a temporary ban on imported pork from Bulgari, with the former having experienced outbreaks. With the EU dairy industry forecast to consolidate over the coming years, we believe that it will continue weighing on the domestic dairy sector.
