PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a therapeutic means for diseases mediated by hyaluronic acid or the decomposition/metabolism thereof, by finding out a novel factor KIAA1199 involved in the decomposition of hyaluronic acid and by controlling the activity/expression thereof.SOLUTION: The invention provides a preventive or therapeutic agent and a tissue repairing agent for arthropathy or cancer, and a cancer invasion/metastasis inhibitor, which contain i) antisense nucleic acid or siRNA to KIAA1199 gene； ii) antibody specific to a protein encoded by KIAA1199 gene； or iii) a low molecular weight compound selected from chlorpromazine, N-ethylmaleimide, bafilomycin A1, monensin, EDTA, deferoxamine, and orientin.SELECTED DRAWING: None【課題】ヒアルロン酸の分解に関与する新たな因子KIAA1199を見出し、その活性・発現を制御することにより、ヒアルロン酸やその分解・代謝が介在する疾患に対する治療手段を提供する。【解決手段】i)KIAA1199遺伝子に対するアンチセンス核酸又はsiRNA；ii)KIAA1199遺伝子によってコードされるタンパクに特異的な抗体；又は、iii)クロルプロマジン、Ｎ－エチルマレイミド、バフィロマイシンＡ１、モネンシン、ＥＤＴＡ、デフェロキサミン、及びオリエンチンから選ばれる低分子化合物、を含む関節症もしくは癌の予防・治療薬、組織修復薬、及び癌の浸潤・転移防止薬。【選択図】なし
