The invention relates to a method for distributing spreading material (grit) that is mixed with a liquid (saline solution) by means of a rotating disc spreader, to which the liquid and the spreading material are fed and the mixture is then dispersed centrifugally by said spreader. According to the invention, the ratio of the quantity of liquid to the quantity of spreading material is adapted based on one or more parameters that influence the uniformity of the distribution of the spreading material, in particular on the quantity (Q) of material to be spread per time unit and/or the spreading width (b or nT) and/or the granularity of the spreading material.
