The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating tuberculosis comprising 10-DEBC or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. Specifically, the present invention relates to pharmaceutical composition which not only suppresses Mycobacterium tuberculosis, multi drug resistant (MDR) Mycobacterium tuberculosis, and extensively drug resistant (XDR) Mycobacterium tuberculosis, but also exhibits excellent antimicrobial activity against Mycobacterium tuberculosis hiding in macrophages.본 발명은 10-DEBC 또는 이의 약학적으로 허용가능한 염을 포함하는 결핵의 예방 또는 치료용 약학적 조성물에 관한 것이다. 구체적으로 본 발명은 결핵균, 다제내성(multi drug resistant, MDR) 결핵균 및 광역내성(extensively drug resistant, XDR) 결핵균을 모두 억제할 뿐만 아니라 대식세포에 잠복된 상기 결핵균들에 대하여도 우수한 항균 활성을 나타내는 약학적 조성물에 대한 것이다.
