Methods, compositions, and kits for repairing damaged myocardium and/ormyocardial cells including the administration cytokines are disclosed andclaimed. Figure 2A-D show the area of MI INJECTED WITH Linnegative/c-kit positive cells from bone marrow (arrow) at differentmagnification, the remaining viable myocardium (VM), and the regeneratingmyocardium (arrowheads). Figure 2E shows a photograph of a tissue section ofthe area of MI injected with Lin negative/c-kit negative cells wherein onlyhealing is apparent.
