[Problem] To provide a plant cultivation system capable of suppressing variations in the growth of shade plants or half-shade plants cultivated in the same cultivation area. [Solution] A plant cultivation system (1) is provided with solar panels (2), and support members (3, 4) for supporting the solar panels (2). A cultivation region (A) for shade plants or half-shade plants is formed below the solar panels (2). In this plant cultivation system (1), the cultivation region (A) is formed below the solar panels (2), and therefore it becomes possible to completely block light applied to the shade plants or half-shade plants cultivated in the cultivation area (A) from above by the solar panels (2), thereby making it possible to eliminate variations in light blocking rate in the solar panels (2). Accordingly, it becomes possible to suppress variations in the amount of light applied to the shade plants or half-shade plants cultivated in the cultivation area (A), and consequently it becomes possible to suppress variations in the growth of the shade plants or half-shade plants cultivated in the same cultivation area.
