A method for the synthesis of an aminoalkylenephosphonic acid or its phosphonate esters including the following steps: a) forming, in the presence of an aldehyde or ketone and an acid catalyst, a reaction mixture by mixing a compound having at least one HNR1R2 moiety or a salt thereof, with a compound having one or more P—O—P anhydride moieties, the moieties having one P atom at the oxidation state (+III) and one P atom at the oxidation state (+III) or (+V), wherein the ratio of moles of aldehyde or ketone to N—H moieties is 1 or more and wherein the ratio of N—H moieties to P—O—P anhydride moieties is 0.3 or more, and b) recovering the resulting aminoalkylenephosphonic acid having compound or its phosphonate esters.La présente invention concerne un procédé de synthèse d'un acide aminoalkylènephosphonique ou de ses esters de phosphonate, comprenant les étapes suivantes : a) la formation, en présence d'un aldéhyde ou d'une cétone et d'un catalyseur acide, d'un mélange réactionnel par mélange d'un composé comprenant au moins une fraction HNR1R2 ou un sel de celui-ci, avec un composé possédant une ou plusieurs fractions d'anhydride P-O-P, lesdites fractions comprenant un atome P à l'état d'oxydation (+III) et un atome P à l'état d'oxydation (+III) ou (+V), le rapport entre les moles d'aldéhyde ou de cétone et les fragments N-H étant d'1 ou plus, et le rapport entre les fractions de N-H et les fractions d'anhydride P-O-P étant de 0,3 ou plus ； et b) la récupération de l'acide aminoalkylènephosphonique résultant comprenant le composé ou ses esters de phosphonate.
