A method is disclosed for producing a medical implantable device. The method comprises holding a bundle of strands of said medical implantable device in a desired shape with a holding unit, creating a cut end of said bundle of strands, welding said bundle of strands together at said cut end while keeping said holding unit arranged at said cut end, thereby creating a welded end of said bundle of strands having defined proportions and dimensions.
