SOLUTION: A plurality of slits 2 are formed in a side flap 20 of the paper diaper 1 in the direction crossing the direction of projection of the side flap 20. When the operating force is applied to the side flap 20 in the direction of expansion of the side flap, the slits 2 are opened to expand the side flap 20. When the slits 2 are closed, the side flap 20 can be contracted.
