PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new compound expectable of sufficient prophylactic and therapeutic improving effects on osteoporosis by inhibiting differentiation and proliferation of osteoclasts and inhibiting bone resorption and usable as a raw material for foods and drinks, medicines and cosmetics and to provide an osteoclast differentiation and proliferation inhibitor.
SOLUTION: The new compound is represented by formula (1). The new compound is effective as the osteoclast differentiation and proliferation inhibitor and further can be used as the raw material for the foods and drinks, medicines and cosmetics.
