The present invention relates to a compound having excellent antibiotic activity, isolated from Stereocaulon alpinum, which is a kind of antarctic lichen, and more particularly, to an antibiotic and antioxidative composition containing, as an active ingredient, lobaric acid (Compound 1) as a depsidone type natural compound and lobarstin as a pseudodepsidone type natural compound, which are isolated from an extract of Stereocaulon alpinum, or salts thereof. The composition according to the present invention exhibits an effective antibiotic ability, and thus can be used for an antibiotic composition, and a pharmaceutical composition and a functional food for preventing or treating infectious diseases.
