To provide a lighting device for plant appreciation which needs only a small installation space while securing a function for radiating light to a plant from its lower side.SOLUTION: A lighting device includes: a solar power generation panel 2 which converts solar energy into electricity； a secondary battery 3 which stores electric power generated by the solar power generation panel 2； a light emission body 4 which emits light by the electric power stored in the secondary battery 3 and radiates the light to a plant； and a lighting device body 5 (refer to Fig. 2) to which the solar power generation panel 2, the secondary battery 3, and the light emission body 4 are attached. The solar power generation panel 2 is attached to the lighting device body 5 with its light receiving surface facing upward.
