According to the present invention, a locking device (15) is provided for locking the pivoting ability of the soil working tool (12) in a fixed pivoting position. Thus, the mobility of the tillage implement (12) serving as a reverse protection of the agricultural machine can be retained in the working position, while it can be locked in the transport position, especially when the pivot axis of the tool is found in the vertical position following the folding of a lateral section of the machine. La présente invention concerne une machine agricole à travailler le sol, ayant au moins un outil de travail du sol (12), qui est agencé dans sa position de travail en pouvant pivoter autour d'un axe de pivotement (13), et pivote sous une pression de contact avec le sol contre une butée (14) limitant la capacité de pivotement. Selon la présente invention, un dispositif de blocage (15) est prévu pour bloquer la capacité de pivotement de l'outil de travail du sol (12) dans une position de pivotement fixe. Ainsi, la mobilité de l'outil de travail du sol (12) servant de protection en marche arrière de la machine agricole peut être consevée dans la position de travail, tandis qu'elle peut être bloquée dans la position de transport, notamment quand l'axe de pivotement de l'outil se retrouve en position verticale suite au repliement d'un tronçon latéral de la machine.
