A system for detecting a neurological deterioration in a patient, the system constituted of: an analyzing module； and at least one input port arranged to receive a plurality of first samples of electroencephalographic (EEG) activity of the patient and a plurality of second samples of EEG activity of the patient and further arranged to output the received samples to the analyzing module, wherein the analyzing module is arranged to: compare a function of the received first EEG samples to a function of the received second EEG samples； determine the difference between the outcome of the comparison and a baseline value； and output a neurological deterioration signal responsive to the determined difference.L'invention porte sur un système de détection d'une détérioration neurologique chez un patient, le système étant constitué de : un module d'analyse ； et d'au moins un orifice d'entrée conçu pour recevoir une pluralité de premiers échantillons de l'activité électro-encéphalographique (EEG) du patient et une pluralité de seconds échantillons de l'activité EEG du patient et conçue en outre pour émettre les échantillons reçus à destination du module d'analyse, le module d'analyse étant conçu pour : comparer une fonction des premiers échantillons EEG reçus à une fonction des seconds échantillons EEG reçus ； déterminer la différence entre le résultat de la comparaison et une valeur de ligne de base ； et émettre un signal de détérioration neurologique en réponse à la différence déterminée.
