PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inhibit a compression plate from sticking to a skin on a breast wall to mitigate a subject's pain in a process of lowering the compression plate.SOLUTION: A compression plate according to an embodiment compresses a subject's breast between the compression plate and an imaging surface of a photography platform. The compression plate comprises a compression surface part and a breast wall surface part. The compression surface part compresses the breast while facing the photography platform. The breast wall surface part is configured to be continuous from the compression surface part to come into contact with the subject's breast wall in performing X-ray photography.
