PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel drug for the treatment of multiple myeloma.SOLUTION: The invention provides a myeloma cell death inducer containing palmitic acid, and a pharmaceutical composition for the treatment of myeloma containing this as an active ingredient. The pharmaceutical composition according to the invention may contain one or more components selected from the group consisting of a proteasome inhibitor, an SCD-1 inhibitor, an HDAC inhibitor, an immunomodulator, an antibody drug, a steroid, and an anticancer agent as an active ingredient.
