The system (1) has an endoscope shaft (6) comprising an instrument channel, and a tool (13) placed within an elongated instrument shaft (12) for holding a surgical needle. An endoscopic instrument (10) is insertable into the channel for carrying-out manipulations in an inner body cavity.
