The invention relates to a composition for use as a medicament comprisinginsulin in combination with at least onecompound of formula (I), wherein the radicals R1 to R6 have the meaningaccording to claim 1, and/or physiologically acceptablesalts thereof. Another object of the invention concerns a pharmaceuticalcomposition comprising as active ingredients effectiveamounts of insulin and at least one compound of formula (I), together withpharmaceutically tolerable adjuvants, for the prophylacticor therapeutic treatment and/or monitoring of physiological and/orpathological conditions that are associated with insulinresistance. The invention also relates to a pharmaceutical package comprisinginsulin in a first dosage unit and at least one compoundof formula (I) in a second dosage unit.
