A telescoping cane with folding platform has a telescoping mechanism to adjust the height. A bottom portion of the cane is pivotally attached to a platform. The platform pivots upward into a parallel position with a shaft of the cane for a stowed position. In a deployed position, the platform is pivoted to a perpendicular position. The wider base of the platform assists a user in balancing his stance when using the cane. The pivoting assembly is further provided with a locking mechanism to maintain the platform in a deployed or stowed position. The cane is also equipped with a platen to assist with placement of users foot upon the platform, which aids in stabilizing the cane when attempting to rise from a seated position.
