The present invention relates to computer-based methods for evaluating an individual's cardiovascular system and computer systems for use in such methods. The computer system recognizes a portion of the individual's cardiovascular system though an imaging device input, then assesses the cardiac power, energy and efficiency during the cardiac cycle. The computer system evaluates circulatory motion and properties of circulatory fluid, and further optimizes the cardiovascular analysis through suggested repositioning of the imaging device.
