The present disclosure provides novel powder daptomycin formulations which have improved chemical stability and faster reconstitution times when in the solid state. The formulation may be a solid pharmaceutical daptomycin composition characterised in that an amount of the solid pharmaceutical daptomycin composition containing 500 mg of daptomycin dissolves in 10 mL of 0.9% aqueous sodium chloride in less than 5 minutes at about 25 degrees C, the solid pharmaceutical daptomycin composition comprising daptomycin and at least one excipient selected from glycine and a sugar. Some examples of the compositions comprise daptomycin and sucrose.
