The present invention relates to an autonomous lawn mower which includes a body capable of driving on a ground surface； a driving-operating unit which operates to make the body drive； a cutting device which is installed on the body to mow lawn on the lower side of the body by the rotation of a blade； a GPS receiver installed on the body； a memory unit in which the geographic information of a working area is recorded； and a control unit which controls the cutting device and the driving-operating unit to mow lawn in the working area recorded in the memory unit by using current coordinate information received from the GPS receiver. The autonomous lawn mower can autonomously mow lawn in the working area by using the GPS coordinate information； provides information of the state of the work to a remote control terminal such as a smartphone； and can perform work through a remote control, thereby improving user convenience.본 발명은 자율 작업형 잔디깎기 장치에 관한 것으로서, 지면을 주행할 수 있도록 된 본체와, 본체가 주행되도록 구동하는 주행구동부와, 본체의 저부에 있는 잔디를 블레이드의 회전에 의해 깍을 수 있게 본체에 설치된 커팅기와, 본체에 설치된 GPS 수신기와, 작업영역에 대한 지리정보가 기록된 기억부와, 기억부에 저장된 작업영역을 GPS 수신기로부터 수신된 현재 좌표정보를 이용하여 잔디를 커팅하도록 커팅기 및 주행구동부를 제어하는 제어부를 구비한다. 이러한 자율 작업형 잔디깎기 장치에 의하면, 작업영역을 스스로 GPS좌표정보를 이용하여 작업할 수 있고, 작업상태 정보를 스마트폰과 같은 원격조정단말기로 제공하고, 원격제어에 의해서도 작업을 수행할 수 있어 사용자의 편리성을 향상시킬 수 있다.
