The present invention generally relates to novel synthetic methods, systems, kits, salts, and precursors useful for medical imaging. In some embodiments, the present invention provides a composition comprising an imaging agent precursor that can be formed using the synthetic methods described herein. Imaging agents can be converted to imaging agents using the methods described herein. In some cases, the imaging agent is 18 F rich. In some cases, imaging agents, including salt forms (eg, ascorbate salts) may be used to image the site of interest of an individual, including those of the heart, cardiovascular system, cardiovascular, brain, and other organs.
