PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hair cosmetic which can be used in a hair spray and a sufficient setting force, and forms a hairstyle without stickiness.
SOLUTION: The hair cosmetic includes a hydrogenated castor oil derivative comprising a higher fatty acid residue. Preferably, the hydrogenated castor oil derivative including a higher fatty acid residue is at least one kind selected from lauric acid hydrogenated castor oils, an isostearic acid hydrogenated castor oils, and hydroxystearic acid hydrogenated castor oils.
